About KNEAD FOR HEALTH
Julie Tupu-South, Manager of KNEAD FOR HEALTH, has extensive therapeutic massage experience. Trained at Wellpark College of Natural Therapies, Julie was honoured as top graduate in her year class in early 2002, earning a Diploma of Therapeutic Massage. Julie is a registered member of Massage New Zealand as an RMT (Remedial Massage Therapist).
Starting after graduation working part time in a physiotherapy clinic as a massage therapist, Julie quickly advanced to become a highly-sought-after mobile massage therapist. With the convenience of mobile massage, Julie has been able to work with sports teams, at major sporting events (triathlons, cycle races, NRL rugby league etc), with rock bands, at expos, in corporate workplaces, and in people’s homes.
“It was my passion for sports, my two knee reconstructions, rehabilitation, and my interest in anatomy and physiology, that came together to create my career in massage,” says Julie. “Also, given the unexpected but welcoming twist of marrying and having two children at a relatively young age, I wanted a career that was flexible, but at the same time fulfilling. Massage is both of these. Living in a world where everything is so fast-paced, it’s great to be able to offer people the opportunity to slow down, and just focus on themselves, and their health and well-being.”
